TASK 2

Personal Plan

In Task 2, my goal is to develop the core visual elements and create the initial animations for the project. The detailed plan is as follows:

1.Identify Key Visual Elements

  • List all essential visuals that must appear in the animation, including characters, props, backgrounds, and special effects.
  • Evaluate the role and importance of each element in the narrative to ensure no critical content is missing.

2.Create Assets

  • Use Adobe Illustrator to design clean, consistent illustrations with cohesive line work and color schemes.
  • Create reusable vector assets for different scenes and characters to facilitate efficient animation later.

3.Animate Elements

  • Use Procreate or other frame-by-frame animation software to add motion to each element, ensuring smooth and natural movement.
  • Focus on key action frames to make character movements and scene transitions expressive and emotionally engaging.

4.Combine and Refine

  • Import all animated elements into After Effects or similar software to composite and adjust the timeline for proper pacing.
  • Refine colors, lighting, and layering to achieve a cohesive visual style that aligns with the overall narrative.

5.Seek Feedback and Revise

  • Regularly present progress to the supervisor, gather feedback, and revise any parts that do not align with the concept or lack fluidity.
  • Iteratively refine the animation through multiple feedback cycles to ensure the final output meets both design requirements and high visual quality standards.

This plan will help me systematically complete the animation, improve my technical skills, and ensure that the final work achieves the intended narrative, visual, and professional standards.

FEEDBACK

Week 4

This week, Mr. Kamal approved the revised script that I submitted, allowing me to proceed with creating my project based on the content. He also requested that I choose between 2D animation and motion graphics as the primary technique for the next stage of production.

Week 5

Mr. Kamal suggested that each scene to be presented should first be drafted in its initial form. After making necessary adjustments, the finalized style and visual effects can then be showcased before proceeding to the next stage of the project.

Week 6

After reviewing the initial draft, Mr. Kamal noted that it was only partially completed and not yet finalized. Therefore, the focus for this week is to continue working on and completing the draft.

Week 7

Mr. Kamal approved the stylistic direction of the initial draft and advised that, in the subsequent stages, particular attention should be given to color usage. He emphasized that the color difference between each frame should not be too strong, as excessive contrast may make the overall visual composition appear disorganized. In addition, he suggested that scene transitions should be handled smoothly to ensure a coherent and visually fluid viewing experience.

REFLECTION

Under the guidance of Mr. Kamal, I focused on developing and refining my animation project. The approval of the revised script provided a clear foundation and helped me decide on 2D animation as the primary production technique. By drafting each scene first, I was able to make necessary adjustments before finalizing the style and visual effects. Throughout the process, I realized the importance of maintaining consistent progress, as well as ensuring balanced color usage and smooth scene transitions for visual coherence. This experience reinforced the value of iterative development, careful planning, and attention to both aesthetic and technical details, ultimately improving the overall quality and effectiveness of the project.
