Final Project

Continuing with the character developed in Project 1, for the final task, we created a 5-second animation that needed to showcase physical actions such as fighting, running, or chasing. In this project, I chose to present the scene with a progression from close-up to wide shots, and provided a detailed display of the character's movements.

For the storyboard design, I chose to create based on the scene requirements. In the storyboard, I detailed what was happening in each scene and the actions the characters were going to perform.

During the animation process, I filled in colors for every frame to ensure smooth transitions. For each character's movement, I individually drew every part of the action. Additionally, for the scene transitions, I chose effects such as zooming in or out to create smooth transitions.

In designing the first action, I created keyframes that show the character moving from the ground to standing. This distribution of keyframes ensures a smoother animation.

In the later scenes, which feature running and sudden appearances, I will also use this technique for drawing and adding keyframes.

Reflection

I found this task to be quite challenging and somewhat difficult for me. For each frame, I need to compare the character's actions with the previous one to make the animation appear smoother. I added blur and shake effects to enhance realism, but I don't think it's perfect due to time constraints. I accelerated the frame rate and reduced the number of frames, and to make the character appear more fluid, I included some variations in facial expressions. Through Mr. Kamal's guidance, I have learned a lot about visual animation, which will provide a strong foundation for future courses.
