Week 1
In the first week, we gained an understanding of the module, and Mr. Fauzi provided an explanation of the module's course. During this week, we were required to use the Pinterest software to create a board and place selected motion designs according to our preferences onto the created board. Another task was to find three motion graphic designs on YouTube that we liked, upload them to the document specified by Mr. Fauzi, and explain the reasons for liking each of these three videos.
Week 2
Dynamic graphics utilize animation techniques and typically consist of elements such as text, shapes, images, colors, and animation effects. Designers need to consider the combination, arrangement, and temporal and spatial changes of these elements. Dynamic graphics can range from simple animated logos and icon animations to complex advertising campaigns, film effects, and interactive interface animations. Designers can achieve various creative expressions and visual effects through dynamic graphics, and advancements in technology bring new possibilities to dynamic graphics. The integration of graphic design with dynamic graphics has also become a trend.
In the third week's class, we learned about the basic shapes and styles of graphics, as well as how to use them in future assignments.
The eight key principles for dynamic graphics are unity, balance, movement, rhythm, focus, contrast, pattern, and proportion. Unity ensures harmony and coherence, while balance distributes visual weight evenly. Movement guides the viewer's eye, rhythm creates visual flow, and focus directs attention. Contrast highlights differences, pattern adds structure, and proportion ensures appropriate scale. Together, these principles help create visually appealing and effective graphic designs.
week 4
In this class session, Mr. Fauzi demonstrated the process of creating kinetic typography in After Effects. He provided in-depth explanations on setting keyframes and achieving smooth transitions between them to enhance the visual flow. By adding animation effects, he seamlessly connected each step of the dynamic typography, presenting the best visual experience to viewers.
This session deepened our understanding of the key principles of kinetic typography and how to incorporate dynamic effects. Through his explanations and practical demonstrations, we will become more proficient in this skill.
Exercise 1
week 1
In this exercise, I found three motion graphic designs on YouTube that I liked. In the document specified by the instructor, I explained the reasons for liking each motion graphic design, as well as the unique features of each work and the overall visual impact they delivered. Through appreciation, I drew inspiration from the visual effects to enhance my own creations.
Use Adobe Effects to add some special effects and keyframe animations according to your ideas, creating a dynamic poster.
